Adverts are an appealing resourse for the English class. 2019 best Christmas advert has only cost £100 to produce, and was made by Tom Jones -from Wales, where else?-, shop owner of Hafod Hardware in Rhayader, Powys and starred by his two-year-old son, Arthur. Arthur has made the advert to encourage peope to shop locally, said the first year he made a Christmas advert, it cost £7, and last year it didn't cost anything. 'The only thing we spent money on this year was getting permission to use the song in the video, which cost us £100,' Tom, who runs the store with his grandparents Alan and Pauline Having been opened since 1895, Hafod Hardware has been passed down the generations, and is one of the oldest businesses in the town of Rhayader. The shop is a traditional old-fashioned Ironmongers with wooden flooring and the walls and ceiling lined in pine. 'It has been crazy... we've been overwhelmed with nice emails and messages from all over the world. "I understand Christmas can be a very expensive time for everyone and they need to save money where they can, but if they can afford to, just try and shop at your small independent shops and support us, it makes a big difference,' Tom said 'The locals are incredible, they're our bread and butter, we're very lucky to have the community we have here in Rhayader.'
